AllXClub is a multilevel adult business venture. There’s two offerings, one a retail account which is $30 a month and gives access to movies on demand and other adult sites. The business end is just $10 a month (you don’t have to sign up for the $30 package to be an associate).
They have a large selection of movies, lingerie, and other products, with web sites and catalogs to drive traffic to. The site itself is very well designed and professional. It’s suitable to view at work but their competitors are NSW and feature nudity.
They use a 3×9 matrix compensation plan and it’s something you should read and understand before getting involved. The product catalog is huge and it’s got all the usual things you’d expect as well as an adult dating site to send visitors to. The real thing to keep in mind is that to do it as a business, you just need the $10 a month plan.
In a down economy, adult movie sales go down, but lingerie and toys actually stay flat. Studies have shown people still buy lingerie in a recession, so I’d focus more on that aspect of the business.
Adult material like photos and movies are very easy to pirate at the many torrent web sites. In a down economy, or people who have more time than money, this is going to happen. Also, there’s very little enforcement of adult movies being downloaded free.
RIAA only goes after products made by their members, so no help there. The adult film makers just haven’t done anything to enforce their copyrights (at least I’ve never heard of this being done by them).
With that said, if you’re going to do this, focus on the tangible goods in their catalog like toys and lingerie.
There are other competitors using the MLM model like turnkeyadultbiz and GRIP (Get Rich in Porn) but their fees are much higher (in the $70 a month range).
Some say the adult market is saturated but there is a lot of money being spent, and for someone who knows what they’re doing there’s money to be made. However, spamming of search engines is rampant, the typical place marketing adult products uses much more agressive tactics than you’ll be used to seeing, so it is more difficult to compete in that arena.
Information about the company is scarce, including a phone number. This is a really big deal because with any MLM the big prize is the residuals and knowing if they’re stable or well managed is a must if you’re going to invest time and money building it.
I’m less suspicious of an adult company not publishing their contact information just because of the nature of their products. Do they get calls from religous groups? In this case I can see them wanting to keep a low public profile than people showing up at their office to meet a porn star.
The good thing is the fees are low, but there’s other costs like hosting (not many hosts allow adult content and the ones that do are expensive). Blogs like blogger.com and even WordPress do allow for it. I’d avoid any adult hosting blog sites that do it free because those are so peppered with their ads nobody would ever see yours in that mix.
The pay per clicks might not be the best route to market this due to well funded competitors for those keywords. I’d stick with a blog to keep investment low, and do a lot of unique content reviews of maybe the films with details like the names of the stars.
This is because you’re much more likely to score on the search engines for someone searching for name name of a movie title or the name of an adult star than you would for the name of a toy or novelty, let alone keywords like lingerie.
Overall, there’s money being spent for this type of business, but the competitors who market this usually have left their ethics at the door which is going to make it difficult. I’d only reccomend this to an experienced marketer, and not to try this as your very first business effort.
