Crucial RealSSD C300 Review

If you’re looking for the best performance that can be currently gotten from a hard drive, the Crucial RealSSD C300 is the one. Storagereview ranked it as the overall top performer in their benchmarks and the only caveat was that to get the high numbers it has to be connected to a 6.0 gbs interface connector like the LSI 9260 MegaRAID card  they tested it with to really unlock it’s performance potential. This makes it spendy but it’s currently the best performing disk and controller combo that can be had.

For notebooks, the Intel is a much better choice. It still offers blazing performance but without the controller requirement that the Crucial has. Also the Intel has come down in price recently, but before the Crucial RealSSD C300 came along, the Intel was the top dog in performance. This will give any notebook blazing boot times, added battery life, as well as performance that’s hands down better than any platter drive currently shipping.
