Jay Servidio

Jay Servidio

Jay Servidio and his company Teleteria Inc. make turnkey adult and casino web sites which typically cost in the $3,500 to $5,000 range. This review is unique because I just got off the phone with the Jay. He called from 203-667-3912 and was quite angry to see another site we do using his name as a keyword. Well, for that one we offer a business opportunity and marketing courses, so we use keywords of competitors so people can compare ours to theirs.

He was pissed! Jay freaked out pretty good during the conversation. His immediate demand was we not use his name anymore. I told him nope, he doesn’t control the Internet and can’t call up businesses and bark orders. He didn’t like that response and said he was going to call Google and they would remove it. Wrong again! Jay ended up threatening “I’m going to find a way to hurt you guys real bad if you don’t take it down!” and then hung up. Wow, he offers turnkey porn and casino sites and doesn’t even know how Google Adwords works.

With all that said, and just fresh from a shouting match with the guy you’d think I’d go off on a tangent but I won’t. As far as Jay Servidio and Teleteria goes, I think the reason there’s so many angry posts on scam boards is because the adult web site industry is a LOT harder to make money at it than Jay lets on. He offers promotions for additional cost (which is a red flag, if that made money he’d just do it himself and keep the profits), and the average person (who failed) lost $4,500 or so, and it explains the intensity of the complaints on the scam boards.

Natural search engine ranking for anything sex related is virtually impossible because there’s so much of it. Pay per clicks are very expensive, but the amount of free adult movies and photos out there now is really the nail in the coffin.

Lingerie sales good, adult movie sales bad.

Lingerie sales good, adult movie sales bad.

The economy has hurt adult movie sales as well. I’ve heard that several adult movie filmmakers have already closed up. Products like lingerie stay flat during down times, but when it comes to buying adult movies, people turn to free downloads in droves. If I had to do adult, I’d just go with high end lingerie with a good markup.

As far as the casino business goes, if you’re thinking about it I’d consult an attorney first. If it’s based in the U.S. (like if it’s hosted here) then you do need a gaming license which can cost a fortune. If it’s hosted overseas then it’s a under the laws of that country. The real problem I’ve heard is the credit card companies have been pressured into not allowing U.S. based card holders from being able to make payments to unregulated casinos.I’d also take a long look at the merchant account agreement and how it handles chargebacks (if someone used a stolen credit card) and if they treat buying chips as a cash advance or not (heavy fees and interest).

In summary, I don’t hate Jay Servidio. He got pretty mad, but he’s not the only person named Jay Servidio and he doesn’t control the Internet. I do think he’s offering two of the hardest businesses to build traffic for, and a lot of people are being thrown to the wolves because they think it’s going to be easy. If you’ve had any experience with Teleteria (or adult or casino businesses) please share it with us, good or bad.

Update: Jay has sent emails and a voice message threatening to put 500 damaging messages on the Internet about me. He sent this:

Nick, I am requesting that the negative link be removed from your site about me today.

He also left a threatening voicemail with the same extortion threat. Listen to it here
Yeah I’d reconsider before doing business with someone who operates this way.

I checked on Google and so many of his sites came up “This site may harm your computer”. There’s just no way…

Jay got me for $4500.00 3 years ago. He is a thief and a con. He should be in jail! I will not stop until justice is served to all that he has scammed!

I considered Teleteria Adult web designing Co for future internet business.
Few day ago I ask Jay The president If I have to be incorporate and he told me “NO you do not . I have been doing adult business for 15 years “he says…But he got very defensive when I try to ask more questions.
He asks me what else I want to know. And I ask 2 legit questions regarding web design and futures I would like to be added to my web site. He then become more defensive and asks “Why do you ask these questions?” and hang up.
First, I think Jay Is in no position to give legal advice. He is not an attorney.
His voice raises red flags all over the place…
Call him, Ask him questions and find out for yourself. You decide.

  4. thank you so much for this information. I had contacted Jay and his company Teleteria.net to get more info on opening up an adult site to compliment my exisiting Adult Novelty and High-end Lingerie site. After reading this article with accompanying comments, you all have saved me a lot of money and time. I will not bother with Teleteria at all. Thank you so much for sparing me the headache and trouble.

I was stupid enough to invest $10,000 with Jay and Teleteria. It all sounded legit and, at the time, there wasn’t much on the web about him (this was 8 years ago.) I have since been contacted by an agent of the FBI, who said they were looking into his business, but have heard nothing more from them. He sold me a gambling business, as well as an adult one, and when I found out how difficult the gambling issues were (within 48 hours I might add), he would not refund my money and only offered to give me another adult site for free. The people he used to set up the websites were amateurs and the sites looked horrible. It was a hard lesson learned, but I hope he gets what he deserves in the end.

I can’t believe people are still handing Jay Servidio money! The guy doesn’t have a clue as to what he’s doing. He’s got a few college age kids in his CT apartment making cookie cutter web sites that haven’t been updated in 15 years.

This guy took me and my wife for at LEAST $15,000 over the period of 2 years. We made $0 from his web sites. He went from being our ‘friend’ to very violent and aggresive on the phone. It was horrible. When we tried to break away from him he started threatening us.

He is a total sleezebag stay away from him you will lose your shirt.

  7. DH says:

I spent $5000 for a website Jay sold me, plus thousands more trying to make it work. I and my husband spent uncountable hours attempting links to and from other websites. Most good sites won’t link because of the shoddy work of Jay’s websites. We shut ours down, but he sold it again – the EXACT site. There HAS to be something illegal here. I wonder why the FBI hasn’t closed him down? Our lawyers are researching this situation, but we have yet to hear back from them.
Thank you for posting this review.
I never wish anything bad on anyone, but I hope Jay goes out of business so he cant hoo-doo anyone else.

Out of curiosity I sent the fellow an email. Of course given the voluminous scathingly negative internet posts about him, and the multitude of scams out there, I had no intention of “doing business” with him. There were then follow-up emails back and forth and one phone call – he called me – in which I asked him some common-sense questions (where is the Wall Street Journal article he cites that approvingly mentions his “business”, where is the BBB rating? why are so many negative posts out there about him and his “business”?). His communications turned bizarre and irrational and included some weird threats. I think this guy is a freak from the bygone days of Nigerian internet scams, but worse, maybe because the porn business beckons to so many people as an “easy way” to make money. He’s something out of Bertolt Brecht. I wonder if anyone has actually ever checked to see if he actually has an office in Manhattan, at a reasonable good address, no less.
