Mass Control by Frank Kern

Mass Control by Frank Kern is new program which was offered in limited release Feb 1st 2008 and is already no longer available. Franks wiritng style is very laid back, to the point at some places in this system you wish he would condense 10 pages down to about one. This low key style works in the email examples he gives though, the anti-hype actually gets him heard over the static a lot better than most who write very overbearing, panicky sales copy.

He is a big fan of limiting his program sales to increase buzz and sells at very high ticket prices. I think his appeal to more experienced marketers, rather than newbies is due to his writing style. Those of us who have been in the business know when we’re getting the bums rush sales pitch, and his folksy folk, plain spoken approach works well with marketing veterans.

He covers well the psychology of marketing, or in some examples reverse psychology. This applies to web sites, but would really be of interest if you’re going to do large email campaigns, which most of his examples are based on. Of course this is if you could buy it, but you can’t anymore, so you’re excluded now.

It’s this method of exclusivity that helps him sell fast. From a sales point of view this is quite clever at giving urgency to otherwise jaded marketers who have heard it all.

Was the program worth $2,000? Well it depends on what you knew already. I liked his examples the best, and it’s a new approach to many who are used to the hard sell. Also it’s a good lesson in email marketing, from what I can tell, the only way to find out about these offerings or get them is to be on his mailing list.

Exclusive offers is a great way to get people to pay attention to your mailings and he has this down pat. Now if you’re experienced writing sales copy and been around the block, you’ll learn a couple of new tricks. the formulas given and examples are probably the best part of the system, as well as the lack of greed-speak and sales hype.

This very much caters to people who are in marketing already,and can take the financial hit of his high ticket price. It’s not a comprehensive guide to running an Internet business, but a good addition to someone in the position to make the steep initial investment back with his techniques.
