Radiocash.com has been blitzing the radio advertising lately. When writing reviews I always have something on and this is that commercial where they spam radiocash.com twenty times. Radiocash.com doesn’t actually loan money, they send your information out to several payday anticipation loan places and they loan you the money. They promise loans from $100 to $1,500 and it’s a two week loan with a 25%-30% interest rate. Do the math, and radiocash.com loans are an annual interest rate between 650% and 780%.Even the Mafia doesn’t charge that much, holy Toledo!
I really did this article in answer to the few message boards asking is radiocash.com is a scam or not. To their credit, they do disclose these numbers on their “how does it work” page, but I still think it’s the definition of predatory lending. Charging $250 to $300 to loan you $1,000 for two weeks?
They’ve said that when the economy crashed that payday anticipation loans increased 300% and I believe it. Unfortunately the kind that radiocash.com offers are really hitting someone when they’re down with those interest rates. If anything, I’d recommend someone call their credit card company and try for an extension on their credit limit first. You’d be amazed sometimes if you just ask. Even credit card interest is a bargain compared to radiocash.com
